Embodying Mettā

Somatic Approaches to Lovingkindness & the Four Elements

with Dawn Mauricio

This course explores the Buddha’s teaching of mettā (lovingkindness), one of four “divine abidings” of the heart, and the meditations on the four great elements. With a focus on embodiment in both practices, we will explore several doorways into the cultivation of mettā, emphasizing the centrality of the body in our practice, and then bring this somatic approach to the deep insight practice of meditation on the four elements.
