Mindfulness Practice
With Heidi Bourne and Sylvia Boorstein
What if mindfulness is already here, in the ordinary moments of your life? This five-week series explores how the teachings of awareness, ethics, and lovingkindness belong not just on the cushion — but in every conversation, every difficulty, every ordinary Thursday.
Bringing practice off the cushion and into the world
This five-week series explores the common-sense teachings of mindful awareness. With a focus on interactive discussion, meditation, and community, Sylvia (via pre-recorded video) and Heidi (live via Zoom) offer practical, accessible teachings on integrating mindfulness, non-harming, and kindness into the complexities of daily life.
Each session includes guided meditation, shared reflection, and the warmth of sangha connection.
Drawing on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, ethics (sīla), and lovingkindness (mettā), this course offers grounded tools for bringing practice into everyday life.
- Four Foundations of Mindfulness
- Ethics and non-harming (sīla)
- Lovingkindness practice (mettā)
- Interactive discussion and community
- Guided meditation each session
- Saṅgha connection and shared practice
“This class series will offer an opportunity to take your practice off of the cushion and into the world — with kindness, clarity, and the support of community.”
